As an EHSQ Advisor I, you will provide essential field and administrative support to ensure our gas utility operations remain safe and compliant. By assisting with audits, incident tracking, and training coordination, you will help maintain our high standards for environmental, health, and safety protocols while promoting a proactive safety culture on the ground.
What You'll Do
- Support EHSQ audits and field inspections across gas distribution operations to verify compliance
- Assist in incident reporting, including root cause analysis and the tracking of corrective actions
- Maintain documentation and rigorous compliance records to ensure audit readiness
- Coordinate training programs for field personnel, ensuring safety and quality protocols are clearly communicated
- Monitor adherence to federal and state regulations, specifically DOT and PHMSA mandates
- Collect and analyze data on EHSQ performance to support regional reporting and process improvements
- Promote a culture of safety and quality by engaging with operational teams and providing on-site support
- Perform other tasks as requested by leadership
What You'll Have
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in gas construction safety or underground utility operations (internships accepted)
- Foundational knowledge of OSHA, PHMSA, and DOT Part 192 safety standards
- Basic understanding of gas utility operations, pipeline safety, and quality management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn EHSQ reporting software
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and documentation records
- Ability to travel occasionally for site visits and field inspections
- Valid driver’s license and a commitment to promoting a proactive safety culture

Work Environment
- Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
- All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
- Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
- Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
- Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
- Flexibility to work different schedules and stay late with little or no notice
- Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
